My name is Fj Cava and I have an MBA from
San Francisco State University in entrepreneurship.
I'm also the owner of the Bayview Webspot
here in San Francisco, California. I'm going
to talk to you today about how to create a
marketing plan. Marketing plans have to consist
of five different categories and you need
to understand each of these categories in
turn. First off you need to understand the
demographics of the people you are trying
to sell to. Those are the things such as the
age of the person, the gender, where they
live, how much money they make. You also need
to include the psychographics of the individual,
what is most important to them. Why do they
spend their money and where? Finally you need
to figure out what the marketing message is.
What is the ten second elevator pitch and
to capsulate it so that you can push your
product or service. You need to figure out
what the frequency of the marketing message
is and then last you need to figure out what
venue it is going to be in whether it is going
to be in print media or audio media, on television,
radio, or on the web. You have to remember
that in a good marketing plan you have to
have the message repeated at least seven to
ten times over a period of three months, what
we call touches to the proposed client so
that they will hear and see and remember what
your product or service is in order to buy
it. Thanks for listening.
