The next thing you're going to include in
your formal report is the Letter of Authorization.
And the Letter of Authorization will probably
simply be either a copy of what you were originally
given or you can retype this information.
But what the Letter of Authorization is going
to include is the request that this report
be prepared. So whomever asked you to do the
report, the company, the specifics of what
they asked you to do is what's going to be
in your Letter of Authorization. And this
will generally cover the problem, the scope,
the time, the money restrictions, all of the
things that you took into consideration as
you prepared the report. Let's say XYZ Company
asked you to prepare a report on reducing
office supply cost. We'll that's what you're
going to mention in your Letter of Authorization.
"I, XYZ or ABC was requested by XYZ Company
was requested to prepare this report regarding
the extensive expense of office supplies",
or whatever it is. You simply want to state
that you were asked to do ABC and that is
what you have done. You have done what you
were asked to do.
